Coaching Biography: 

I specialize in leadership coaching and strategy coaching for high potential executives and entrepreneurs. For leadership coaching, my coachees are mainly executives from senior managers to director level and VP executives from multinational and local companies. For strategy coaching, my coachees are mainly entrepreneurs of new startup companies. As to industry, I have served medical, high tech, financial companies as coach. However, that is not limited since the way is general.

I used to work as senior editor for Harvard Business Review China for many years. I researched many great companies and great business person and know deeply how an executive can develop in the company and how the company can win in the market. However, the person impressed me most is Steven Covey, the writer of 7 Habbits. The interview with this great guy in 2008 is the moment that I realized fully that inspiring people is what really matters for me. I transferred steadily to work as a coach in the following years. In spare time, I like painting and Chinese traditional medicine which also help me develop some way of getting into peace in busy life and get into a state of mindfulness. With 2 daughters to raise, coaching is not only what I love but also what helps me make a good balance between life and work.

When I do coaching, I often use 5R as the basic Model of any coaching talk. That is Result、Reality、Relation、Refous and Responsibility. This approach works quite effectively since it does not only focus on the result or changes but also focus on relation and trust and thus make the changes happen easier. I also use Hogan test as a good tool to test and start leadership for coaching. In addition, as Emotional Mastery coach, I also pay much attention to emotions behind the behavior and talking. With 6-seconds emotion tools and EMT,I can help my coachees to deal with many emotional issues beneath their choices and rethink their believes. These tools are quite powerful since most coaching issues can hardly be solved on the behavior level. We need go to change the soil if we want to have better plants. In addition, with much knowledge and experience in management and economics, I can help my coachees to have best reading materials for their issues. This can help them to be prepared to changes on knowledge level.

I have 17 years working experience before working as coach. I have worked as university assistant professor for management in the beginning of my career. Then I worked many years as Senior Editor for Harvard Business Review China. I also have experience working as Senior Internal Strategy Consultant for ING group and training director for a NYSE Listed investment company Noah.
