Rob Schilling

Coaching Speciality:

My coaching often finds me working with the developing executive leader who has begun to identify qualities, competencies and ways of being that would support them in fulfilling current and future role responsibilities. This most often leads to a bespoke developmental coaching program that supports the leader to address the specific domains with the aim to create long term excellence, self-correction and self generation within the scope of their coaching topic. At times, I am also called upon to support a leader transitioning into a new role where successful navigation of that transition is critical.

Story:

My career in coaching, facilitation and leadership development began in the 1980's in the United States. My curiosity and passion for people led me to accept a role in Hong Kong in 1991, which began my life and career in Asia. After several successful roles and succeeding to the leadership team within my organization, I moved to Singapore in 1997, where I have based my life and business to date. With positions within a variety of Asian countries, regional roles and eventually founding my own company, I have had the privilege to work throughout Asia Pacific Region with engagements in Europe and North America. My commitment to people and organizational development continues to fuel my desire to partner with clients to explore novel ways to make the best contribution possible to the desired purpose and outcomes of each engagement. Recently, I have expanded from creating content to becoming an author.

Coaching Approach:

My coaching and facilitation career, extending throughout the past thirty years, has exposed me to a variety of powerful methodologies in the field of coaching that include performance, behavioral and developmental models. Integral coaching is currently my foundation methodology from which I coach, while I call upon my further education in Somatic Coaching, Ontological Coaching and Transition Coaching. What is common in most of my coaching today is that it is developmental in nature.

Business Background:

My coaching and facilitation career overlap with the industries and positions that I have held. Besides the training and development industry, I have worked in Retail, Import/Export, Designer Home Furnishings and Executive Search. Prior to founding my own company that currently operates in Singapore, Philippines, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States, I was the Region Head of HR Development for my last employer. I have also worked in Operations, Procurement, Marketing, Sales and Enrollment with additional roles as Leadership Training Facilitator, Production Manager, Director of Design and Facilitation, and Senior Consultant.
