Coaching Speciality: The most effective individuals I have worked with are at senior levels in the organization. They are clients who have identified a clear career path and want to understand how to be successful in their current role. Key areas where I have helped clients achieve their goals are when new leadership is in place, organization has recently been acquired or client needs to understand how to successfully on board into a new organization.

Story: Having worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years, I learned a lot about what it took to be successful in organizations. For the last 10 years of my career I was at the VP of Sales level. I learned what if took to be achieve your goals, develop talent and navigate the organization. One of the aspects I really enjoyed was being a mentor to top talent. So after leaving the industry in 2010, I studied to become a certified executive coach. Having the opportunity to coach people from many different industries and backgrounds has made me a very effective executive coach.

Coaching Approach:  The most effective way I have found to coach individuals is to understand the individual outside of just their professional role. I learn about their personal goals as well and work with them to achieve their overall goals both professionally and personally. Having a full understanding of the individuals ideal balance helps us to develop a plan of success. As a coach I find it is beneficial help the client gain insights on their leadership style by speaking confidentially with a select group of colleagues. This insights helps to understand how others in the organization see you which allows you to grow as a leader.

Business Background:  Over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in sales (training, management, operations) ... marketing ... and senior-level leadership of the sales organization. As a VP of Sales I have experience in creating and developing top-performing sales teams; building a performance-based culture; assuring sales teams align with the corporate vision and mission; devised strategic sales plans for all levels of the sales organization; and ensuring effective execution of sales plans.
