Selected as one of New Zealand’s 25 Young Achievers of 1999, Melanie has spent the past twenty years working as an actress, musician, arts administrator and finance manager. She holds a BA in Theatre and a Masters in Music from Roosevelt University in Chicago as well as an LTCL teaching degree in music from Trinity College, London. In her spare time she enjoys spreadsheets and numbers!
In addition to serving as the Finance Manager for Sloan Group International, she is currently the General Manager of The New Zealand Dance Company.
Melanie also served as the Midwest Regional Coordinator for Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Susan Lori-Parks’ International 365 Days/365 Plays project in 2006, Business Manager at About Face Theatre Collective, Finance Manager at CCG Films, Business Manager at 500 Clown, and associate at David Turrentine & Associates, and Executive Director of Striding Lion Performance Group. She previously served as Managing Director at HealthWorks Theatre of Chicago facilitating violence prevention education outreach and as General Manager of Next Theatre in Evanston.
