Betsy Flanagan is passionate about assisting senior and emerging leaders to achieve their leadership potential. She is a results-oriented, pragmatic business coach drawing on her experience in executive positions within large corporations and venture-funded startups across diverse industries including new media, technology, financial services, health care, and higher education. Her professional history includes founding successful startups, top corporate executive strategic advisory work, line management responsibility in startups and large organizations, and serving as Investor Relations manager and company spokesperson for a Fortune 25 company– all of which give her a broad perspective on the unique challenges leaders face in managing effectively. Her expertise in new media and technology make her especially well positioned to help leaders in these fields effectively manage rapid, and often uncertain, change.

Betsy helps clients leverage their strengths and mindfully engage to develop professional capabilities, navigate complex business environments, and maximize effectiveness. Her highly personalized approach creates positive and indelible changes in clients, the teams they lead, and the companies they work for. Along with her executive coaching work, Betsy leads WorkStrengths, advising companies on best practices in workforce management and coaching individuals on career strategy.

Betsy holds an AB in Anthropology from Harvard University, cum laude, and an MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business. In addition, she has completed Life & Leadership Potentials Training at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and is a Master NLP Practitioner certified by NLP Marin.
