Alyson Lyon, MBA has over 20 years of experience in executive leadership development and organizational coaching working internationally with senior executives, lawyers, physicians and other business leaders. As an International Coach Federation (ICF) certified coach (2006), Alyson is dedicated to working with executive leaders and their teams to mindfully achieve a lasting change in behavior thereby increasing the quality of their relationships and impact as a leader in all areas of their life. Her research based results-oriented approach transforms strong working relationships through conflict resolution, improved communication, and applied emotional intelligence among team members and leaders in organizations.
As an Educator, Alyson is an adjunct faculty member at Duquesne University in the McAnulty College teaching leadership development courses for Graduate and Undergraduate students. Alyson designs and delivers strategic learning programs for lawyers and physicians and high potential leaders. She teaches various professional development workshops for organizations and provides offsite team building events. She is certified as a Collaborative Law Coach (IACP) dealing with conflict resolution and anger management, advanced training in Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument and provides Litigation Avoidance services to organizations dealing with highly sensitive issues. In addition, she provides customized programs for disruptive physicians; and teaches CLE programs for attorneys and CPE programs for CPAs.
As a business leader, Alyson served as Executive Director, keeping more than 200 attorneys and support staff in three law firms productive through her coaching of emerging leaders. Her management experience includes business operations, human resources, finance, marketing, information systems and facilities management, giving her a broad perspective on the unique challenges organizations face building a diverse culture of future leaders.
Alyson enjoys traveling with her husband, Craig and their golden retriever, Missy. Her interests include: reading, life-long learning and mindful practices of prayer, meditation, yoga and proper nutrition.
